ABOUT DISTRICT PHYSICAL THERAPY
Maximizing Your Potential
District Physical Therapy was created to allow for an optimal patient centered approach to therapy. It was created to address clients with multifaceted needs, clients who need a greater consistency of care, and clients who have high level goals specific to the home or community. It is my passion to assist clients with maximizing their potential.

Over my years of being a physical therapist, I have noticed that patients who present with neurological injuries or diseases often also present with orthopedic issues that need to be addressed simultaneously to allow the system to operate optimally. Conversely, patients with orthopedic injuries, often have difficulty with neuromuscular control leading to frequent reinjury, or injury of other body parts. District Physical Therapy was created to address these multifaceted needs.

District Physical Therapy was also created to provide continuity of care. Neurologic conditions - particularly those that affect the brain - can continue to improve with continued stimulation of the system and form new motor control pathways or develop improved movement patterns that allow for new skill development. I have developed a passion for challenging the system to help unlock potential and progress the client toward higher level mobility skills and goals.
District Physical Therapy was also created to work with clients who have specific goals that require treatment to be in the home or community. A client can be treated in the home to allow for therapeutic problem solving of challenges specific to that clients home. Clients can also be treated at the location necessary for that person to return to a sport. For example, hiking an actual trail vs simulated in clinic activities, or returning to swimming, going for a run, playing tennis, etc. Community skills can be also addressed at the location such as getting on/off escalators, climbing steep hills, walking tourist attractions, etc.

I am committed to providing holistic care that maximizes your capacity to achieve optimal outcomes of improved function and decreased pain.
